Take the Lean Office Specialist course

Lean Office Specialists supports the deployment of continuous improvement in a corporate environment. They implement methods and tools to ensure progress in their workshops. They support and advise employees in the implementation of operational excellence. The Green Belt Lean Office course enables you to assume the following:

 

  • Manage Lean projects
  • Conduct team meetings
  • Support employees in the use of the Lean process

Programme

The training objectives of this course are manifold:

 

  • Supporting a Lean Office approach in a corporate environment
  • Implementing Lean Office methods and tools
  • Passing on Lean Office-related knowledge, know-how and interpersonal skills

Detailed programme

Day 1: Basic Lean & VA/NVA/3M concepts

  • Discovering the origins of the
  • Lean approach
  • Understanding the culture and technical applications of Lean
  • Discovering the main Lean principles
  • Discovering the VA/NVA principle and the 3Ms (Mura, Muri and Muda)
  • Practicing detecting the 3Ms in various environments
  • Simulating these principles in an office environment

 

Day 2: A3 & 5S

  • Learning to use A3 (synthetic project monitoring tools)
  • Practicing writing A3 documents
  • Understanding 5S and their advantages
  • Implementing 5S in an office environment

 

Day 3: The Lean Management System

  • Discovering the Short Interval Control meeting and its different components (dashboard, indicator, improvement card, work standard…)
  • Understanding the mode of operation and the different levels of SIC meetings
  • Defining and testing work standards
  • Building a continuous improvement dashboard

 

Day 4: Lean Leader

  • Identifying the conduct and role of a Lean Leader
  • Discovering the Lean support and coaching methods
  • Understanding the mode of operation and the advantages of the cultural audit (Gemba)
  • Discussing the various ways of interpreting Lean culture

Educational tools

  • A school-company: a comprehensive professional environment covering 500 m² (production, logistics, maintenance, quality, customer service, etc.) to recreate realistic professional situations and experiment with Lean concepts through concrete cases.
  • Expert speakers: professionals (site directors, Lean managers, HR managers, etc.) sharing their knowledge and experience of the Lean process.
  • Dematerialised content: all courses and working documents are available to trainees on line.

Profile

This course is intended for service sector managers and administrative staff.

Prerequisites

Baccalaureate level and/or one year’s experience in the sector of activity or department corresponding to the specialisation covered during the training course (Management, Office, etc.) is required.
